Cycle of Pain

What's wrong with our world today We're all suffering and trying to numb the pain What's causing us to feel this way Nothing but endless shame Why do we hurt, the ones we love Why do we feel, like we ain't enough Why can't we heal, from all our pain And why does everyday feel the same Picking up bad habits as a way to cope Living everyday without any hope Push away those that can help us grow We fail to heal cause hope died long ago Everyday we make the wrong choices Numb it all and stick to our vices We say we want to get better Yet we refuse to change all together There's more to life than being miserable And it's okay to be vulnerable I hope that we can all find peace And spread joy to those we meet What's wrong with our world today We're all suffering and trying to numb the pain What's causing us to feel this way Nothing but endless shame We're all hurt souls, trying to heal And yet we hurt eachother, it's so unreal No one will face their fucking issues And so the cycle of pain continues There's more to life than being miserable And it's okay to be vulnerable I hope that we can all find peace And spread joy to those we meet But no matter how hard we try We can't stop being afraid of growth We can't seem to swallow our pride Cause deep down we can't let go We were meant to love each other Not afraid to lower our guards We were meant to love and prosper But we fail to open our hearts We were meant to love eachother Yet we remain slaves to our scars
