Back in the golden era, Masta Ace came off like the studious member of the mighty Juice Crew. After spitting first on the clique's classic posse cut "The Symphony”, the Brooklyn-born Ace went on to drop his worldly debut, Take A Look Around, in 1990. After that project he embraced a series of concept albums with the satirical SlaughtaHouse followed by the car culture-influenced Sittin' on Chrome. As the aughts kicked into play Ace continued to release projects that underscored his status as one of the smartest emcees to ever do it.
