About The Hard Lessons
Artist Biography
Starting around 2003, Lansing, Michigan's the Hard Lessons became darlings of the Detroit garage scene with an infectious hybrid of classic rock, garage punk, and indie pop. Led by keyboardist Korin Cox and guitarist Augie Visocchi (along with drummer Christophe Zajac-Denek), the trio garnered a serious live rep with crowd-ready choruses, lip-smacking hooks, and unabashed rock swagger. Their recorded output captures a far less sweaty--but still impactful--indie pop that foregrounds frontcouple Cox's and Visocchi's alternating vocal leads and melodic gifts.
