About Single File
Artist Biography
Colorado-born, Los Angeles-based Single File play the kind of hooky, emotionally available alt rock that can be heard on modern rock stations the world over. Which is not to say the group, composed of Sloan Anderson (vocals/guitar), Joe Ginsberg (bass/vocals), and Chris Depew (drums) has not paid its dues.
Single File issued four well-received EPs, toured the U.S. extensively--including two go-rounds on the high-profile Vans Warped Tour--and scored a radio hit on Denver station KTCL with "Zombies Ate My Neighbors." Self-released 2004 album HEARTBREAK & MASTURBATION never saw wide release, and follow-up COMMON STRUGGLES, issued by Reprise, didn't arrive until early 2009.
