Musically and stylistically, Nascar Aloe merges cloud rap with early hardcore punk for loud, raw, in-your-face songs.
• The rapper grew up within a tight-knit Cambodian community in Lexington, North Carolina. He was primarily raised by his father, who worked in a nearby factory.
• An avid skater, Nascar Aloe began integrating 1970s punk fashion into his wardrobe and immersing himself in hardcore punk culture during his late teens.
• After initially going by the name Aloe, he added “Nascar” because he liked to wear secondhand Nascar T-shirts.
• In his teens, nascar aloe found success on SoundCloud. “Annunaki”, his 2018 collaboration with fellow rap/hardcore hybrid artist Jasiah, has earned nearly a half-million streams.
• In 2018, after high school, Nascar Aloe relocated to Los Angeles. The following year, he released two projects: the Find Me EP and his full-length debut, SH!THEAD.
• He signed to Epitaph Records, the legendary punk label founded by Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz, in 2020.
