About Jordy
Artist Biography
Debuting with 2017's "Wavy Yute," London rapper Jordy spun tales of braggadocio and relationships over a varied set of mellow instrumentals.
Born and raised in Tottenham, North London, rapper Jordy grew up around hip-hop, spending his early years hooked on the works of 50 Cent and Ludacris. After moving to Essex, he began to write music of his own, debuting in 2017 with singles "Wavy Yute" and "Winter Is Coming," before dropping three further tracks ("Recipe," "Trezeguet," "Fall for You") in 2018. Delivered with a self-assured swagger, Jordy's early sound was bound by its mellow instrumentation and relationship-centric lyrics, delivered in a variety of cadences. 2019 saw the release of the rapper's debut EP, Have a Good Summer, a collection of mellow, vibe-centric tracks centering on the rapper's love life. This was followed later that year by further singles "Uber X," and "Allegiance Freestyle," before the rapper burst into 2020 with trap anthem "Pagans." ~ David Crone
