About David Daughtry
Artist Biography
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, gospel singer, musician, actor, psalmist, and praise & worship director David Daughtry could read and play music by the age of six. Following a move to Los Angeles, he became a sought-after support vocalist, working with Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Kim Burrell, Yolanda Adams, and others, before stepping out on his own as a solo singer when he signed with Karen Clark-Sheard and Bishop J. Drew Sheard's Karew Records and released a self-titled debut album with the label in 2014. Daughtry has also worked as an actor, appearing in First Sunday (2008) and Parenthood (2010), among other films, and has been leader of praise & worship for the West Angeles Church of God in Christ under Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. ~ Steve Leggett
