About Bernard Fevre
Artist Biography
Bernard Fèvre is an elusive but highly innovative French electronic composer known for his library music recordings as well as his influential post-disco project Black Devil Disco Club. First active as part of pop band Les Francs Garçons during the late '60s and early '70s, he released several albums of spacy electronic instrumentals under his own name, then issued Disco Club, an album of futuristic dance music, as Black Devil in 1978. Initially an obscurity, the record gained a cult following several decades later, and following its reissue, Fèvre released numerous albums as Black Devil Disco Club, including the collaboration-heavy, pop-focused Circus in 2011. Fèvre's early library albums were reissued, and the compilation Space Oddities 1976-1985 appeared in 2024.
