Barely a year after they formed in 2012, Proyecto X's relentlessly energetic music propelled them from social media darlings to hard-touring stardom. Still clearly having a blast together, the Californian norteño band continues to barrel joyfully along on Corridos Pa' Activarse. Speedy highlights like "Hijo de Don V****" and "Ya Me Tocaba un Relax" channel the stomping rhythms and shout-along hooks that make their live gigs so exuberant, and while their tales of immigrant life have grown more pointed and poignant with time, this is still norteño that's perfect for a rowdy house party.
